Holiday Food Drive

Feeding America reports that 14 percent of American Households dealt with food insecurity, or lack of access to sufficient food, in 2013. The Kansas Food Bank, a Feeding America food bank, partners with more than 200 agencies in 85 counties to combat hunger throughout the state. The organization assists more than 215,000 annually through pantries and various programs such as Food 4 Kids and Bob Box. The Kansas Food Bank always appreciates donations, but they are especially important during the holiday season.

We’re excited to join the fight against hunger by hosting a food drive through November 26. There is currently a high demand for canned fruits, vegetables, and meats. For a list of requested items, click here.  Have an order you’re picking up from our office? Bring a non-perishable and we’ll give you a $1 discount! Donations can be dropped off at 4545 W. Central during regular business hours (Monday through Friday 8am-5pm).

Keep an eye one our social media. Throughout the month we’ll be posting statistics, facts, etc. regarding hunger in America.
